I’m glad you’re here.
I’m Casey. The therapist behind Poppy Counseling Co.
I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel accepted, understood, and cared for without judgment. My hope is to create an environment where you can show up as you are, without feeling the need to have everything figured out. I believe healing can happen when we feel safe enough to explore our experiences, make sense of our emotions, and begin to understand ourselves in new ways. It is a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they navigate challenges, discover their strengths, and work toward meaningful change.
Values
I warmly welcome and celebrate diversity in all its forms. I am committed to providing affirming, compassionate care that honors each person's identity, experiences, and perspective. I believe our differences are an important part of who we are, and I strive to create a space where everyone feels respected, valued, and free to be themselves. My goal is for therapy to feel like a place where you can be met with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment.
Approach to Therapy
My therapeutic approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy and incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support growth and change. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to offer support, understanding, and tools that help you move toward your goals. Together, we may explore patterns of thinking and behavior, develop coping skills, and make space for the experiences that have shaped you. I tailor therapy to each individual, recognizing that healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. We will work at a pace that feels right for you, balancing practical strategies for change with the understanding and acceptance you deserve along the way.

A little more about Casey:
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2011. While I always knew I wanted to become a therapist, my path took a different route for a time as I focused on raising my family. I eventually returned to school and earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May 2024. I completed my practicum and internship in Burlington and have experience working with adolescents and adults in a private practice setting. My clinical experience includes supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and other life challenges.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family and our dogs, Poppy and Maddie. I love local coffee, and exploring local farmers markets. I like to create through weaving, and baking, and I can happily spend an afternoon watching The Great British Bake Off. I appreciate the little things that make life meaningful, whether that's time outdoors, creating something with my hands, or sharing a quiet moment with the people I love.
